This is my car for the day. My step mom is nice enough to let me borrow it. I'm a manly man.

It looks like its begging to be rear engined

Holy shit, 10/10, would DD

I dig it! Sweet looking car but the interior is a bit much for me. This thing would look really nice with a white or black interior.

Hahaha but you had no choice so we understand. Manliest man ever

A manly man.
A manly man in a manly car.
A manly man in a manly car in a manly color.
A manly man in a manly car in a manly color doing manly shopping at Macy's.

Wow! That is lovely!
![]() 07/02/2014 at 18:51 |

Ford should have put the '03 Cobra S/C 32v in those.

If only they were stick shift!
![]() 07/02/2014 at 18:55 |

That is a sweet T-bird.

In black with toned down chrome and red interior I'd love one of these. Seems like it'd make a good cruiser.
![]() 07/02/2014 at 18:56 |

I dig it. I bet in 25 years or so these will be mildly collectible.

I've always liked the last Thunderchicken...my aunt had one. Although it wasn't in such a lovely color!

I know it's fashionable to trash the last gen Thunderbird, but I was always a fan of the design, especially with the two tone interiors, which I think Ford discontinued after the first year or two for some reason.
Hope they revist the personal luxury idea eventually.

I'm not a huge fan of that color, but in black, those are good-looking cars.

If it's an NA/NB then I guess you're talking about the hose that's squeezed in between the back of the engine and the firewall. If that's the case then I might have a tip for you. It's attached to a flange and supposedly you can unscrew this threaded piece on top of the flange, but because there's no space I was not able to do that despite trying for at least an hour, and how I cursed! The solution was to disconnect it below first, and then hold the threaded thing up top in place, and rotate the hose off underneath.

That interior. It's making me hungry for mint chocolate chip ice cream.

How do you like that shit automatic transmission in the T-Bird?
![]() 07/02/2014 at 19:21 |
|
Oh god. I like that aluminum trim...that's about all I can say

There's a lady who drives a white one every once and a while to the station to grab a pack of Colt's. She's a grizzled old gal and fucking awesome.

My girlfriend would shit for one just like that. She knows it's kind of a wuss performance-wise, but neither of us can deny the style. What do you think of it?
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:21 |

Well done good sir
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:27 |

Yeah it's the bottom connection that's giving me hell. Worked on it for about an hour as well but I have family stuff all over town so I shall endeavor again tomorrow. Thanks for the advice

I actually kind of like the throwback design and I cannot believe the smoothness of the ride. Even on a california freeway it's great. Power is good, cornering is boat-like
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:31 |
|
They make change it to just black interior in the future.
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:34 |
|
The ride is incredibly smooth.
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:37 |
|
Haha fair enough.
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:39 |
|
Oh man, it's atrocious. Ride is smooth though.
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:39 |

Now that would cool
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:40 |
|
seriously. It would be so much more if you could row your own
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:41 |

Yeah, my mom has an LS V8 which is just about the same car.
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:42 |

Thanks!
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:43 |

they're not slow, they're making almost 300hp
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:44 |
|
A better transmission would be quite welcome as well
![]() 07/02/2014 at 20:46 |

Thanks!

Never seen one in that seafoam color. It's so awful I like it!
![]() 07/02/2014 at 21:30 |

That is very nice…
![]() 07/02/2014 at 21:39 |

That's its charm!
![]() 07/02/2014 at 21:49 |

In a I shouldn't like it but I do kind of way?
![]() 07/03/2014 at 01:02 |

I don't know if it's true, but I heard these have the same engine as the v8 Mustangs. Is that true? If it is, I would think a manual swap out might not be a bad idea.

This is the length the real tbird shouldve been

I just checked the Wikipedia machine and it says the thunderbird engine was only used in it and Lincoln town cars.
It's the AJ30/35

rear engine? No frunk? Awesome
![]() 07/03/2014 at 05:47 |

Two doors + convertible = kinda almost similar to a Miata?!?
![]() 07/03/2014 at 11:17 |
|
If the miata got it on with a boat, this may very well be their love child.
![]() 07/03/2014 at 13:01 |

I saw the color and my teeth cracked...aia...that is not a good color on t-birds
![]() 07/03/2014 at 23:53 |

It's a very divisive color.
